The Transeco Light Rail was developed for the suburb of Rowville in Melbourne for the year 2030. The project brief was to reduce the dependency on petrol powered vehicles. The design concentrates on two primary functions - transportation of people and transportation of goods. It features innovative use of recyclable/recycled materials and new emerging battery and solar technologies which make the system run entirely on renewable energy without any performance compromises and minimal visible infrustructure.
